This bold and stylistically eclectic line-up is firmly rooted in the traditional music of pre-war America. At the heart of the band is the longstanding musical relationship between guitarist Graham Farnworth and bassist Rebekah Bouche. Graham plays a mixture of National Resophonic and electric guitar influenced by the old masters of Delata blues, growling out country blues and early standards. Rebekah holds down the groove on double bass and sings trad jazz numbers about drinking, love and self-destruction in her disarmingly sweet and stark vocal style.
Playing as a six-peice the band now has a swinging rhythm section with the addition of Tim Nugent on Drums and a powerhouse of brass with Steve Mathers on Tenor Sax, Jon Stokes on trombone and Joe Sharp on trumpet.
