Alex Bryson is a singer, pianist and songwriter whose swinging piano brings something different to Oriole: a show of original songs that read like a catalogue of romantic misadventures, by turns funny, poignant and gloriously zany.
Classically trained but drawn early to the Great American Songbook - Gershwin, Kern, Berlin - Alex discovered jazz as a student in New York, then returned to London determined to make it as a jazz pianist, playing everywhere from Ronnie Scott's to the 606. The pandemic gave him time to return to singing and songwriting.
