ASERE TRIO

Presenting the authentic sounds of Cuba, both traditional and modern, Asere trio comprise of musicians with serious pedigree. From Cuban Jazz to Buena Vista style Son/bolero/cha cha cha to modern Cuban timba and beyond, this conjunto are well recognised on the Latin scene – They can be seen in the various top Cuban bands here in the UK, and have performed around the world to much critical acclaim.

All three are members of The Sambroso All Stars (arguably UK’s most successful authentic Cuban band), but have also performed with a multitude of Internationally recognised artists across the genres – from Hugh Masekela to Tony Allen to Giles Peterson’s Havana Cultura to Johnny Clarke to Orchestra Imperial to name a very few.

Fronted by percussionist and vocalist Javier Camilo from Havana, with fellow Cuban Frank Portuondo on Bass (most recently the MD of the theatre show Paradise Under the Stars), and led by pianist Kishon Khan (Md of bands Lokkhi Terra and Cubafrobeat), this trio is much in demand for good reason.
