Bandleader and drummer Roy Pfeffer is one of London’s most recognised ambassadors of New Orleans music. He leads acclaimed New Orleans funk band The Big Smoke Family - regulars at London’s Ronnie Scott’s, Pizza Express Soho and favourites on New Orleans biggest radio station WWOZ.

Roy is also a founding member of the Cosimo Matassa Project - a band dedicated to 1950 New Orleans rhythm ’n’ blues and playing music by artists such as fats domino, Smily Lewis and Dr John.
